Blog Note: I'll be back...

Hey Smash fans. I hope you're all enjoying the posts coming in on the blog.

Unfortunately, I don't have a new post ready this week. I keep finding myself occupied with writing novels and other things, and I've been slacking on the blog here.

That's not fair for those who like expect me at my best, so I'm gonna take a break until I get the passion to write at the best of my ability multiple times a week.

Thank you all for understanding, and this DOES NOT mean that this blog is done. No way, just a break until I get my thoughts together.

But in the meantime, readers, answer me this: Who would YOU like to see in Super Smash Brothers 4? Comment here and tell me. You might see them on this blog later on!

Once again, thank you all for your understanding. Stay Smashing everyone!

Character Spotlight 10: Practically Legendary

This Smasher may not be the strongest...or the fastest...or even the most durable, but they do have one valuable skill: strategy.

They use their skilled mind to choose who to attack and what to attack with. They literally have the power at their fingertips, and even at such a young age, has grown to be the champion at what they do.

For them, actions speak louder then words...

Character Spotlight 9: Cunning Ace

This Smasher is one of the swiftest in both style and attack. They're a born leader, risking their life for the sake of countless innocents. They know their way around vehicles, be it land or air.

But despite that, they've experienced many hardships in the past. A great loss, but it just fueled their desire to do what's right. They also have a trademark item of clothing, always around the neck in memory of a loved one.

Character Spotlight 8: Holy Greil

This Smasher is a mercenary who fights for his beliefs and friends at the same time. They seem like they're uncaring, but is actually passionate about others.

They're very strong with one heck of a weapon. Swordplay comes very natural to them, and they sure do pack a punch...

Subspace Conspiracy: Targeting the 12?

A special thank you for everyone who's enjoyed my blog so far! This post marks the point where I've received over 1500 views!

So in honor of that, I'm going to talk about something topical amongst some Smash fans.
The Subspace Emissary
This is the darkest time ever to hit the World of Trophies. It almost meant the end of the Smash Brothers and the dawn of a world with eternal darkness. The mysterious Tabuu took strategic options and actions to bring his Subspace domain to light: the manipulation of the Master Hand, the conversion of Mr. Game & Watch, the abduction of the Battleship Halberd...
The targeting the Original Smashers
Now, this isn't outright told in the story, but I've noticed a few things after playing through the Adventure Mode as much as I have.

Here's my analysis, and I hope you all agree with me after reading.

BrawlDex: Smash 64

*Here's the last of the E3-honored posts. Did you all enjoy E3?*

Now, I know what you're thinking...just what is a BrawlDex? BrawlDex is a collection of blurbs for the Smash characters in the style of Pokémon series Pokédex.
Most likely from Pokémon Trainer Red's Pokédex
I understand that SSB4 might have some new features, but perhaps this could be one? Like, keep the Trophies and Stickers, but also have the BrawlDex to give quick info about a character, plus a type and a 3D moving image of said character. Just like how the Idols work in Kid Icarus Uprising.

I plan on having at least 3 entries: based off each of the Smash games. Plus some posts for the SSB4 Newcomers.

For each entry, I try to cover the basics of the characters in the text and their attacks for their types. The Pokémon are straight from the real Pokédex, just with slight word changes.

Now, without further ado, let's turn it on!

Personality Clash 1

*Here's the second of the three posts in honor of E3.*

Greetings everyone!

If you've noticed in my Character Spotlight posts, I took a section out to discuss how a character would interact with the other characters in the tournament based on their personalities and behavior. And after reviewing one of my posts, I realized...
I forgot to include the Newcomers!
I mean, their own posts are about them in game, but they're capable of feeling things to right? At least in their own world anyway. But so I don't give a spoiler to Newcomers I've yet to reveal, I'll only relate their interactions to the current cast of Brawl and Newcomers revealed before them.

So, this series of posts will do just that. I'm going to take Newcomers in teams of 4s so I don't litter up on text.

This post will include Newcomers from Graffiti Galaxy, Wishing Star, Spinsanity, and Roaming Chaos.

Character Spotlight 7: Volt Storm

*This post is one of the 3 this week in honor of E3! I hope you enjoy both!*

This Smasher is one of the most notable faces on the roster, with a sparking personality. They have a lot of fans with such a cute face.

They don't need a serious backstory to get appeal, but you do have to find them first! They're hard to catch, but worth the effort.

Character Spotlight 6: Zero Gravity

This Smasher is quite the surprise for those who know them. They aren't fighting how they normally do, despite some new movements.

I mean, they don't even have the same power. But true fans would understand where this came from. And it isn't bad to look at. Not at all...

Character Spotlight 5: Pink Pwnage

This Smasher is quite the little glutton. They can't help themselves when it comes to food, and they aren't exactly a picky eater. They're one of the younger Smashers in the tournament, but they are quite skilled.

They are quite innocent, with one of the purest hearts in Smash. Of course, they tend to have a one track mind with food. They've accomplished much, even if their head's in the stars.

Character Spotlight 4: Greed Is Good

*Just a quick note: I've long beaten Kid Icarus Uprising by now and I'm going to take a look at Pit's Character Spotlight (titled Heaven Can Wait) to make changes. Just so you all know :) *

And now for the next Character Spotlight!

This Smasher...is certainly an odd one.

They may be strong, but none too bright. Well, usually anyway. They may have a one track mind when it comes to their favorite thing (they've risked their life again and again for it), but...

It's hard to say anything positive about this one. Um...they're successful I suppose. Yeah, really know how to travel in style around town. They may be hard-headed, but they've got an ego the size of a Snorlax.

Character Spotlight 3: It Takes Courage

Welcome back to Smash Talk! I'm Brandon "the Bman" Alicea with another Character Spotlight.

This Smasher is quite proficient in weapons both far and wide, but is best kept at a blade in the heat of battle. They never flinch from a challenge, no matter how the odds are stacked against them.

Their actions speak louder then words, especially because this Smasher isn't very talkative. They could always rely on a special animal friend for transportation if needed, and can utilize one of the most powerful forces known in their universe.

Strongest in the Universe?!: The Will of 12

Welcome back to Smash Talk! with Brandon "the Bman" Alicea.

After my last update, I mentioned that there were more super strong characters in Smash that toppled the rest if viewed by their raw power or experience, as opposed to their balanced play in the Smash games.

These Smashers have a close relation to the Big 4, one that withstood the test of time and trials they've encountered over the years.
So, wondering who's in the same league as these guys?
I won't tell you who...I'll just show you! Behold!

Strongest in the Universe?!: Nintendo's Big 4

Welcome back to Smash Talk! Once again, I'm Brandon "the Bman" Alicea, with another Super Discussion on all things Smash Brothers.

If you remember back to the end of my Character Spotlight (titled Jump to the Top), I referred to Super Mario as one of the game's Big 4.

Now, what this means is that he is one of the most powerful icons inside the Smash games. Of course, this may also have to do that he is Nintendo's mascot, so he kinda gets that footstool jump above the rest.

Now that's classy.
But if you look past the characters they are in Smash and delve into the characters they are in themselves, I think it just makes it more apparent. But of course this is just my opinion.

Anyways, the Big 4 are the most well known of Nintendo's fighters and are only a fraction of the full list of powerful Smashers that I'll talk about. They're lean, they're mean...

Character Spotlight 2: Heaven Can Wait

Welcome back to Smash Talk! with you host Brandon "the Bman" Alicea.

Next on Character Spotlight, this Smasher was supposed to be in Smash long ago, but was cut in favor of another. Always the confident one, they have no problem fighting foes several times their size. This Smasher also has a variety of weapons at their disposal, but they are best at marksmanship.

Character Spotlight: Jump to the Top

Hello again! I'm Brandon "the Bman" Alicea, and welcome to my first Character Spotlight! post. These posts are to discuss and share my own thoughts on one of the current Smashers from Brawl.

First up, this Smasher has gone to great lengths to prove that evil doesn't pay. If it's possible, he/she's been there and done that decades ago.

But that's not all. This Smasher also spends their free time playing around with both friends and foes! They may not be the best at Brawling, but their not the worst either. But no matter the situation, this Smasher jumps into action, and not a groomed hair out of place.

Bman's Top 10...Or Perhaps Bottom 10?

Welcome back to Smash Talk!

Once again, I'm Brandon "the Bman" Alicea with another Smashing topic. Since I'm still on the topic of characters for now, I'm going to be giving my opinions of who I think would be in the next Smash Brothers game. But now, I'm going to share with you who I think doesn't deserve to fight against Nintendo's finest.

I've searched over hundreds of sites where fellow fans like you post what they would love to see go toe-to-toe with Captain Falcon or Lucario. Here are some of the ones that caused me to...

Yeah that...

Choose Your Character!...Within Reason.

Hello again Smash Fans! It's Brandon "the Bman" Alicea here with another Smashing topic...
Characters
Characters Everywhere...
One thing that really makes a crossover fighting game like this shine, in my opinion (which might be accurate), is the Characters. Some ya know, some ya don't. But its all in good fun to watch them pound the Magikarp out of each other.

But my main point is that all the Characters have been checked out as clear for the game. There are guide lines that everyone of them follow that allows them to be Playable Characters in the game.

The Fourth Game's Universal Debate

As many of you may have heard, there is going to be a fourth edition to Super Smash Brothers to be released on 3DS and the upcoming Wii U. The project is led my Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata and series creator Masahiro Sakurai. It was Sakurai that also made the new Kid Icarus: Uprising, set to be released sometime in March.
The game is on!...3DS
Sakurai stated that he wouldn't work on Smash till Pit's game went soaring into stores. And then this came out...

3-2-1-BLOG!

Greeting my fellow Smash Brothers and Sisters!

I am Brandon "the Bman" Alicea, and I welcome you all to Smash Talk!; the blog made to discuss things for the upcoming 4th edition of this terrific trilogy!

I'll talk greatly about the upcoming games above all, from new Playable Characters and Assist Trophies to the baddest of Bosses and Costumes.

Of course, I'll also talk about the Smashers that started it all, from Super Mario to Prince Marth of Altea. Just keep in mind to keep comments clean and respectful to another's opinions.

I'll do my best to post at least one a week, so stay tuned for more Smash topics!

Until next time! :D
